BOOK REVIEW ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Well, BOOK REVIEW
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Well, this cements it. Hannah Bonam-Young goes on the auto-buy list.Next to You is the second book in this series, but you don’t have to read the first to dive into it. The characters from that book make appearances, but they’re not central to the story. This is much more focused on the male and female leads, Matt and Lane. This story is told from Lane’s perspective, and I know a lot of readers prefer dual PoVs in their romances, but hear me out: Hannah Bonam-Young writes single PoV romance really well. Like, Mariana Zapata well. Her heroines are working on themselves, struggling to overcome past trauma or emotional baggage, and are so relatable that it’s hard not to instantly be on their side.I loved Matt and Lane from page one. Between the smoldering chemistry, hilarious banter, and open and honest communication, I was never not rooting for them.Read the full five-star review on the blog!

BOOK REVIEW ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This is my BOOK REVIEW
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This is my second book in a row by Simone St. James, and when I finished it, I went and ordered pretty much her entire backlog. Because I’ve never come across another author who writes standalone horror-romance.Horrance? Romror? I’ll work on that and get back to you.I’ve written before about how I don’t typically read scary stories (because nightmares) but for some reason, I can binge-read St. James and still sleep like a baby. I think it’s because of that blend of spooky and swoony I mentioned before. Something about the romance aspect of her plots acts as a ballast against the horror, and it makes it easier to digest.Read the full review on the blog!

BOOK REVIEW⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I’ BOOK REVIEW⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I’ve said many times how much I hate “misunderstandings” in books. And I do. Except when I don’t. This book is riddled with miscommunications and misunderstandings. Both of the main characters – Kee and Varro – make assumptions and choices that lead the other to make their own assumptions.But. BUT. It works for me here.Read the full review on the blog!

BOOK REVIEW⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This book c BOOK REVIEW⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This book centers on a young woman named Lore who escaped a super-creepy cult of cave dwellers only to realize things aren’t so great aboveground either. The main way this book lived up to my expectations was that whole premise and the fantasy world Whitten built. It’s unique and imaginative and pulls you right into it from the very first page. The magical system (at least in Lore’s area) is derived from a substance called mortem, which flows from the veins of an entombed (and assumed deceased) goddess of death. And, yes, it is exactly as cool as it sounds.Lore is able to use more mortem than she should, and her abilities land her smack-dab in the middle of political intrigue she is not prepared for. It also places her between a duke-turned-monk named Gabriel, and Crowned Prince Bastian. Mmmmm, Bastian 😋Read the full review on the blog!
