What are you reading? One of the books I'm curren What are you reading?
One of the books I'm currently reading is The Mask of Mirrors by M.A. Carrick (releases January 19th from @orbitbooks_us ). My sell: atmospheric gay Italian Renaissance with an emphasis on the excellently dressed.

My review of #mexicangothic by #silviamorenogarcia My review of #mexicangothic by #silviamorenogarcia is up on the blog. This book deserves the #goodreadschoiceawards for best horror. Noemí is a heroine I love: knife for a tongue, debonair sense of style and could not care in the least if you find her unlikable. Mexican Gothic is like peeling wallpaper. It reveals itself firmly as Gothic Horror and exactly that. Mexican Gothic subverts the classics of Gothic Horror. The author mentioned she was inspired by Gothic Horror, not Gothic Romances. The Victorian romantics, already an aspect in books like Dracula, are transformed as rot, decay and a horror story.

I got my review of #thefiresofvengeance by #evanwi I got my review of #thefiresofvengeance by #evanwinter up on the blog. This one is just reveal after reveal and firmly places this series as complex rather than the simple fantasy people may want. It doesn't provide easy answers and that's exactly what I love about adult fantasy.

#BlackSun by #rebeccaroanhorse is like the death m #BlackSun by #rebeccaroanhorse is like the death metal of fantasy books. Chocolate drinks, hair the color of plums, a bisexy mermaid, a goth crow god, all fury and rage. I loved everything. Check out the review on the blog to hear all my thoughts!
